I have loved law since I was a teenager, and have worked in the legal field for close to 30 years. L.A. Law as well as Law & Order is what started it all.
I have worked at the Orleans Parish Municipal Court as a docket clerk for the late Judge James E. Glancey during the summers while I was in college. That was back when it was originally night court. This job is what solidified my path into the legal field.
I also worked in Felony Screening as a legal assistant at the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office. I learned a lot about criminal law while working there. I really enjoyed helping people, especially in their time of need.
I worked for 14 years as a legal assistant/paralegal for a small insurance defense law firm in downtown New Orleans. While they mostly practice insurance defense, they did practice a little bit of civil, family, and personal injury.
I joined Loyd J. Bourgeois, Jr.’s law firm as a legal assistant/paralegal. As soon as I began working here at LJBLegal, I immediately felt like I was part of the family and I find that our clients are treated the same. I am the case manager for all of our Social Security disability cases helping us get the results our clients need.
When I am not working, you will find me spending time with family, friends, and my dog, traveling, cooking, reading, and watching movies.
