New partnership brings rotating, no-cost notarization support to adults across St. Charles Parish
LULING, La. – August 2025
Loyd J. Bourgeois Injury & Accident Lawyer and the St. Charles Parish Library are launching a monthly, walk-in program offering adults free access to notary public services. Beginning August 21, attorneys from the firm will visit a different library branch on the third Thursday of each month to assist residents who need documents notarized at no cost.
Monthly rotating schedule
The free notary program will begin at the West Regional Library in Luling on August 21 from 1–3 p.m. (times may vary by month). Remaining 2025 dates and locations include:
- August 21: West Regional Library, Luling
- September 18: East Regional Library, Destrehan
- October 16: Paradis Branch
- November 20: St. Rose Branch
- December 18: Norco Branch
Helping residents access essential services
This program supports community members who may not have easy access to a notary, including those completing personal forms, affidavits, school documents, and similar paperwork. Services are available on a walk-in basis, and no appointments are required.
“This partnership is about removing barriers,” said Loyd Bourgeois, attorney at Loyd J. Bourgeois Injury & Accident Lawyer. “We live and work in this parish, and we understand that sometimes even a simple notarization can be difficult to access. We’re honored to work with the library to provide this small but important service to our neighbors.”
Important guidelines for visitors
- This is a notarization-only service. No legal advice will be provided, and documents cannot be drafted or prepared.
- If your document requires witnesses, please bring them with you.
- All signers must bring a valid photo ID.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to making useful services accessible to everyone in St. Charles Parish,” said Maria Bilello, Adult Programming and Outreach Librarian for St. Charles Parish Library. “We’re excited to welcome Loyd Bourgeois and offer this valuable service to our patrons.”
